Jianing Forging is pleased to present the Tongliao Agricultural Closed-Die Forging Case, a representative project demonstrating our expertise in providing reliable forging solutions for the agricultural sector in Inner Mongolia. This case illustrates how our closed-die forging process addresses critical requirements of agricultural machinery components.

In the agricultural region of Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, farming equipment must withstand harsh operational conditions including heavy loads, abrasive soil, and variable weather. Jianing Forging was engaged to supply high-strength closed-die forged parts for key agricultural machinery applications. The project aimed to replace traditional open-die or cast components with forged alternatives that offer superior performance and longer service life.

The client faced several challenges with their previous manufacturing approach. First, conventional open-die forging and casting methods resulted in inconsistent mechanical properties, leading to premature wear and failure of critical parts such as ploughshares, harrow tines, and linkage components. Second, material waste was high due to excessive flash and machining allowances, increasing overall production costs. Third, the dimensional accuracy of as-forged parts was insufficient, requiring extensive secondary machining that slowed down production and raised labor expenses. Finally, the overall weight of components was higher than desired, negatively affecting fuel efficiency and machine maneuverability.

Jianing Forging implemented a closed-die forging process tailored to the client's specific geometries and performance requirements. Key advantages of our solution include:
The Tongliao project delivered components that significantly outperformed previous versions in field tests, with a 30% increase in service life and a 12% reduction in overall weight. Client reported lower maintenance downtime and improved productivity in their agricultural operations.
